DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION

The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) water treatment modules are used for the effective removal of total suspended solids (TSS), fat or oil and greases (FOG), articles of biological oxygen demand (BOD), particles of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and several other pollutants emanating from the wastewater production industry.
Historically the DAF is well designed for treating industrial wastewater contaminated with fats, oil, grease and suspended solids. These components all required a significant free surface area for flotation and separation.
The EcoSat series of DAF plants are built from stainless steel, carbon steel with epoxy painting and polypropylene.

Application

The EcoSat series of DAF plants have a proven record for the effective removal of physical-chemical technology commonly used for many industrial and municipal applications, including:
  • Recovery of valuable products and reuse
  • Pre-treatment for high load environments to meet discharge limits to reduce loading on downstream biological systems
  • Polishing of biological treatment effluent
